TEMPORARY ADJUSTMENT TO ANNUAL LEAVE ARRANGEMENTS – WABTEC FAIVELY LTD
As you may know, the government introduced a change to annual leave entitlement as part of its emergency legislation with regards to the impact of the Covid-19 crisis. Previously, annual leave had to be taken within an agreed period and wouldn’t necessarily be able to be carried over if it had not been taken in that period.
However, Wabtec have taken the new legislation into account and have tabled proposals to unions that would not only allow staff to carry over any unused leave for the next two years as the new legislation permits but also, with immediate effect, staff can cancel any leave they now no longer wish to take.
Your union views the proposals as advantageous for you and your colleagues and has, following consultation with your Regional Organiser and representatives, advised the company of our acceptance.

Please note that these arrangements are not a change to your existing terms and conditions but merely a temporary adjustment in consideration of the unprecedented situation we are all in.
