Temporary Closure of Derby Station, Payment of Staff, Service Staff – Cross Country Trains
I am writing further to my previous correspondence on the above matter. As you know that the union went into dispute with Cross Country over their failure to guarantee rest day working arrangements and payments during the period of the Derby Blockade.
The company have still not been forthcoming with any proposals for you and your colleagues. It is disgraceful that the company are giving certain grades preferential treatment during the blockade whilst ignoring others. Therefore, the National Executive Committee believes there is no other option than to carry on with the ballot for industrial action. Therefore, we urge you to 'Yes' to both questions in the up-coming ballot.
The ballot papers will be despatched to your home address on Friday 7th September 2018 by the ERS and will need to be returned by no later than first post on Thursday 20th September 2018. If you or a colleague have not received a ballot paper by Thursday 13th September 2018 then please phone the RMT Helpline on 0800 376 3706 or the Switchboard on 020 7387 4771 and ask for the Industrial Relations Department and a replacement will be sent out.
