TO ALL CONDUCTORS AND SENIOR CONDUCTORS AT GREATER ANGLIA
USE YOUR VOTE! – VOTE ‘YES’ TO BOTH QUESTIONS
ROLE OF THE GUARD & EXTENSION OF DOO – GREATER ANGLIA
I am writing further to my previous letter dated 28th February 2018, in which I advised you of the deliberate and cynical attempt by Richard Dean to undermine and dishonourably attempt to mislead you and your colleagues into believing an agreement was being reached over DOO. Unfortunately, Greater Anglia has still come no closer to resolving this dispute and addressing our concerns over the safety critical Role of the Guard.
There is no doubt that the company are still using this re-balloting period as an attempt to undermine the dispute. We cannot allow the company’s tactics to succeed, we cannot be complacent, we must ensure that everyone returns their voting paper and returns another overwhelming result for both Strike Action and Industrial Action Short of Strike.
I urge you and your colleagues to send this company a clear message by voting ‘YES’ in the re-ballot. It is only by returning an overwhelming ‘Yes’ vote that we can force the company to listen to our concerns, get around the table and start negotiating seriously with your representatives.
Therefore, If you have not already received a ballot paper then please contact the RMT Freephone Helpline urgently on 0800 376 3706 or the RMT Switch board on 020 7387 4771 and ask for the industrial relations department, where a replacement ballot paper will be sent to you by first class post. Additionally, if you are aware of a colleague who has not received their ballot paper, ask them to call on one of the above numbers to update their details to receive a replacement ballot paper.
