25th November 2019
To: All RMT bus workers
Labour will stand up for your rights, jobs and conditions.
Tory austerity has massively cut bus services and led to attacks on jobs and conditions.
And over the weekend the Tories announced they will be ending the right to strike for rail workers, that means bus workers could be next - giving the green light to the bosses to attack your jobs, wages, safety and conditions.
Labour will stand up for bus workers’ jobs and conditions and will introduce policies that will benefit bus workers, including
Reversing all the Tory bus cuts and massively expanding bus services
Allowing Public ownership of buses
Banning zero-hour contracts
Compulsory national bargaining across the bus sector to increase wages and reduce insecurity
More time off work with four new Bank Holidays
Repeal anti-trade union legislation meaning better wages and conditions
Full employment rights from day one
That’s why your union believes it is vital that we maximise the Labour vote to get a Labour government.
