TRAIN PREPARATION ARRANGEMENTS – LONDON UNDERGROUND

 

Your Union Reps have been in discussions with LUL regarding arrangements for the introduction of the new Siemens 24 Piccadilly Line stock, which is intended by LUL to be rolled out across all LUL deep tube lines. 

 

During these talks, it became clear that the Company has made a decision to not have any human interaction or involvement in the pre-service checking of trains. A failure to agree was then recorded over this matter due to the negative impact on your jobs and working practices and the safety implications for all members and passengers.

 

This matter has now been considered by the National Executive Committee, which has taken the decision to declare a dispute with LUL and request a meeting to seek to resolve this matter.
