TRANSFER OF VALLEY LINES STAFF - NETWORK RAIL TO TRANSPORT FOR WALES
I am writing further to my previous letter of 28th January 2020, where I informed you of concerns raised that staff were being organised into Joint Work Teams between S&P and E&P. This was not part of the initial consultation and a cause for concern that staff were working outside of agreements and there had been a unilateral change to working arrangements that weren’t agreed by your union.
The meeting planned for the 26th January was cancelled by the company at late notice and will now need to be re-arranged. However a discussion was arranged for 29th January and AKI did confirm in the discussion there had been no changes, either agreed or unilateral, to job descriptions or staff competencies. Your Lead Officer is now awaiting a written confirmation of the company’s position as discussed on the 29th January.
Your National Executive Committee has considered the matter and I have been instructed to place before it an updated report from your Lead Officer as soon as one is available.
I trust this keeps you fully advised and I will inform you of any further developments on this issue as they arise.
