TUPE TRANSFER OF WEST MIDLANDS TRAINS TRAIN CLEANING CONTRACT (BLETCHLEY) – STM TO CARLISLE SUPPORT SERVICES    

 

I write with regards to the above matter and to inform you that I have received a report from the Lead Officer, indicating that the contract for cleaning trains at Bletchley has been awarded to Carlisle Support Services from STM and that a TUPE transfer of the Outstations Train Presentation Contracts will take place on the 1^st August 2024. 

 

The Lead Officer also reports that despite there being RMT Reps in place at Bletchley, STM has stated to CSS that there is no Union Recognition Agreement in place. The Lead Officer has raised this matter with CSS Managing Director for Cleaning Services, who has confirmed that he is willing to sort out an up-to-date voluntary Recognition Agreement with the RMT. Therefore, the Lead Officer is currently pursuing a meeting with the company to negotiate a new Recognition Agreement.

 

The matter has been subject to recent consideration by the union’s National Executive Committee and I have been instructed to seek an update report from the Lead Officer, following conclusion of the meeting with the company with regards to the Recognition Agreement.
