Underpayment of Wages – Stena Line

I have been made aware that there are several issues arising from members’ payslips. It is our belief that Stena Line may have miscalculated your wages, this is because there is no calculation and/or explanation on your payslip as to how the backpay and additional payments have been calculated. To further complicate matters, I have been alerted this morning that some members have not received their wages in their bank accounts.

I am dealing with these issues as a matter of urgency and have been in contact with Stena Line Human Resources throughout the morning. I have impressed on the company that these issues need to be dealt with as quickly as possible to avoid RMT members descending into financial hardship.

If you have been personally affected by these issues or should you require any further information, then please contact your workplace representative in the first instance. It is important for the RMT to understand the scale this problem and to get these issues resolved quickly for all members.
