WORKFORCE REFORMS (2023 PAY NEGOTIATIONS) - GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY

 

Following endorsement of the terms of the so-called “memorandum of understanding” by RMT members as part of the resolution to the national dispute, a series of meetings have been held with Great Western Railway concerning the following functions:

 

• Stations
• Catering (including Sleeper)
• On Trains (including Revenue)
• Engineering
• Clerical 

Company Council Meetings have been held on 22^nd February and 7^th March 2024 to discuss generic companywide items in line with the terms of reference of the memorandum with a further meeting to be held on 27^th March 2024.

 

Several meetings have now been held at both On Trains and Stations Divisional Council level attended by your respective RMT Representatives with those discussions ongoing.

 

Meetings at Engineering Divisional Council level are scheduled to take place on 14^th and 20^th March 2024 with Clerical Divisional Council dates to be confirmed.

 

It is important to note that no agreement has been reached on any aspect of the negotiations with any potential agreement likely requiring a successful prior referendum of RMT members.
