RMT REJECTS COMPANY’S PROPOSALS & CONTINUES WITH THE BALLOT
FOR INDUSTRIAL ACTION
I write with regards to the above matter and to inform you that your Senior Union Representatives have attended an Avoidance of Disputes meeting with Eurostar management in the hope of finding a meaningful resolution to this dispute. During discussions with management, the company tabled a proposal to avoid the union progressing with the ballot for industrial action of all our Train Manager members.
Having looked at the company’s proposals, it is the view of your Union Representatives that management has once again failed to provide any tangible proposals or immediate improvements that would satisfy our member’s aspirations. Therefore, your union’s National Executive Committee has again considered the matter and taken the decision to continue with the ballot for industrial action.
These issues are serious and the only way to get management to treat them with the urgency they require is by voting YES to both questions when you receive your voting paper. I urge you not to waste your vote and to vote ‘YES’ FOR STRIKE ACTION AND ‘YES’ FOR INDUSTRIAL ACTION SHORT OF A STRIKE to make sure management implements an immediate plan to eradicate the unsafe and volatile working conditions our members are subjected to on a daily basis and stop these problems from reoccurring.
UNITY IS STRENGTH
VOTE YES TO BOTH QUESTIONS IN THE BALLOT FOR INDUSTRIAL ACTION
