TO ALL TRANSPORT FOR LONDON MEMBERS
Dear Colleagues
PAY FOR PERFORMANCE – DEFEND YOUR PENSIONABLE PAY – TRANSPORT FOR LONDON
FURTHER INDUSTRIAL ACTION CALLED
Further to my last letter concerning this dispute, your General Grades Committee has further considered the situation and is calling all TfL members to take further industrial action, in coordination with our sister union TSSA. Full details of this action are outlined below.
With effect from 21.00 hours Tuesday 6th May 2014, until further notice, you are instructed:
• Not to buddy or mentor agency staff within Customer Experience roles.
• Not to work beyond your contractual hours. This includes all non-contractual overtime, refusing out of hours phone calls, taking full meal breaks and VDU breaks.
• Not to volunteer for Travel Ambassador duties or any other duties outside your Job Description.
• Not to participate in the Performance and Development Review process.
Your union has continued to meet with the company demanding a decent pay offer and full pensionable pay for all TfL employees. Their current proposal is nothing less than a concerted attack on the future of the TfL pensions Fund which affects all its members regardless of grade. I urge you to stand firm with your colleagues and support the above action which will show you are prepared to fight against their disgraceful treatment of TfL staff.
Your solidarity and determination to defend your pensionable pay has been magnificent and I urge you to keep it going.
DEFEND YOUR PENSIONABLE PAY
UNITY IS STRENGTH
Yours sincerely
Mick Cash
Acting General Secretary
