RMT Press Office:
Contracted out workers on Eurostar are striking over pay today.
RMT members working for Rail Gourmet are trying to get management back round the negotiating table.
Last month, they took several days action and are determined to get a decent pay deal.
The strike started on Wednesday 6am and will end Friday at 5.59am.
RMT General Secretary Mick Lynch said: "Our Rail Gourmet members are significantly underpaid compared to their counterparts directly employed by Eurostar.
"There is a significant gap in pay, terms, and conditions, even though they perform essential duties for the same railway company.
"Outsourcing is highly exploitative, and in the end, these workers need to be brought back in-house and directly employed by Eurostar
“Our members industrial campaign and vibrant picket lines will continue until we can reach a negotiated pay settlement."
