Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2014 – Wabtec Doncaster


First of all let me congratulate all of you on the recent ballot, you produced an excellent result and you should be commended for standing together in solidarity.

RMT has attended so-called meaningful talks with Wabtec but the past few weeks have proved that our demands are falling on deaf ears. You and your colleagues do essential work and at the very least you should expect is a pay rise that reflects your commitment to the company. After all, it is you and your colleagues that generate the company profits.

As a result of management’s failure to satisfactorily resolve this matter, all Wabtec members at Doncaster are instructed by the union’s Executive Committee to take the following strike action by not booking on for any shifts commencing between:-

•    00:01 hours on Monday 15th December 2014 and 23:59 hours on Friday 19th December 2014.

I urge you to continue your magnificent support for your union and solidarity with your colleagues in this dispute. Stand together on the picket line in a show of strength that will leave Management in no doubt of your convictions. Together we will fight and win a decent pay rise and genuine improvements to your terms and conditions.
