Rates Of Pay And Conditions Of Service 2015 – Govia Thameslink Railway (Thameslink And Great Northern) (Customer Services And Revenue Protection Officers)
Your union held a meeting with the company on 17th July 2015 over a proposed pay offer for Customer Services and Revenue Protection Grades. The offer which was made was as follows:
• An increase of 2.5% to salaries and dynamic allowances effective from 6th April 2015
• Paid maternity leave to be increased from 22 weeks to 26 weeks
• Pensionable pay for Revenue Protection Grades working on the Thameslink line of route to be uplifted to 100% of basic salary by way of a Pension Restructuring Premium
After consulting with your representatives, this offer was rejected as it did not meet our members’ expectations. Despite numerous requests being made to the company, no further meetings have yet been held to discuss an improvement on this offer and no more have yet been agreed to by the company. Also to be noted is that separate talks on Engineering pay have not even started.
This situation is completely unacceptable and shows a real lack of consideration for our members.
I have therefore been instructed by your Executive Committee to inform the company that, should it not hold meaningful talks with this union and your representatives by 17th October 2015, then a dispute situation will arise and you and your colleagues in the grades affected will be balloted for industrial action.
I will, of course, keep you advised of any further developments which arise in the meantime.
