RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2022 – MITIE CLEANING SERVICES (TRANSPENNINE EXPRESS CONTRACT)

The union’s negotiating team has attended meetings with the company and at the conclusion of these talks Mitie advised us of their intention to raise the basic rate of pay for cleaners on the Transpennine Express contract to £9.50 per hour on 1st April 2022; this would align your pay with the living wage foundation rate.

Therefore, the union’s National Executive Committee (NEC) has considered this matter and is seeking the views of members on this issue. To that end the union is conducting an electronic referendum where you will be asked whether or not you are prepared to take industrial action (i.e. go on strike) to achieve an improved pay offer.

The on-line referendum will close at 10:00 hours on Tuesday 1st March 2022

Referendum Instructions

Members will shortly receive an email from 'RMT Referenda' which will allow you to register your vote. Please follow the instructions and make sure you complete this by no later than 10am on Tuesday 1st March 2022. Once members have voted, you will receive an email from RMT Referenda confirming how you have voted and that your vote has been cast successfully.
