INDUSTRIAL ACTION TO BE SUSPENDED

Our Ref: BR2/15/4
25th July 2014

Dear Colleagues

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
INDUSTRIAL ACTION TO BE SUSPENDED

RE-ORGANISATION AND REDUNDANCIES – HEATHROW EXPRESS

Further to previous correspondence on the above matter, I can report I have received an offer from management to re-enter meaningful talks under the auspices of ACAS. As a gesture of goodwill, Heathrow Express has withdrawn their previous decision to remove the shift swap and ‘last train’ agreements.

Having considered this matter, the union’s executive committee has decided to suspend the industrial action to allow negotiations to take place. Therefore from 00:01 hours on Monday 28th July 2014 the overtime ban will be suspended. You are instructed to work as normal from Monday.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you all on standing firm against HEX; it is a testament to the solidarity of our members that we have been able to force management back around the negotiating table.

I will, of course, keep you fully advised on any further developments.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
Acting General Secretary
