INDUSTRIAL ACTION IS SUSPENDED

Our Ref: BR2/15/4

22nd August 2014

Dear Colleague

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
INDUSTRIAL ACTION IS SUSPENDED

RE-ORGANISATION AND REDUNDANCIES – HEATHROW EXPRESS

Further to my previous correspondence with regards to the above matter, I can now advise you that further negotiations have been held between your Senior Union Representatives and HEX management and progress has been made in respect of potentially resolving this dispute.

Therefore, the matter has been subject to recent consideration by your union’s Executive Committee and they have taken the decision to suspend ALL industrial action short of a strike called between 00.01 hours on Sunday 24th August and 23.59 hours on Sunday 21st September 2014 to allow further negotiations to take place and you are instructed to work as normal. It should be noted that further industrial action may be called should insufficient progress be made in negotiations.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you all on standing firm against HEX; it is a testament to the solidarity of our members that we have been able to force management back around the negotiating table.

I will, of course, keep you fully advised on any further developments.

Best wishes.

Mick Cash
Acting General Secretary
