Dear Colleagues
REDUNDANCY, D. JOHANNESSEN – HULL TRAINS
First of all let me congratulate all of you on the recent ballot, you produced an excellent result and you should be commended for standing together in solidarity. Even in the face of overwhelming opposition Hull Trains have not backed down and still refuse to offer Sister Diane Johannessen a job, even though there is now an On-Trains vacancy at the company.
The union’s executive committee has now had opportunity to consider the fantastic vote that our members returned in favour of taking strike action and taken the decision to call on all our Hull Trains members to take industrial action as listed below:
All affected are instructed not to book on for any shifts that commence between:-
• 12:00 (midday) hours on Sunday 22nd March 2015 and 11:59 hours on Monday 23rd March 2015.
I urge you to continue your magnificent support for your union and solidarity with your colleagues in this dispute. Management can be in no doubt that we remain determined and refuse to stand by and allow them to treating their employees with contempt.
SUPPORT YOUR UNION
SUPPORT THE INDUSTRIAL ACTION
REINSTATE DIANE JOHANNESSEN
Yours sincerely
Mick Cash
General Secretary
