REORGANISATION OF CUSTOMER RELATIONS DEPARTMENT – NORTHERN RAIL

Further to my letter dated the 29th September 2015 with regards to the above matter and where I informed you of the magnificent results in the ballot for strike action and action short of a strike. First and foremost, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our members for returning an overwhelming Yes vote in favour of taking industrial action.

I can now advise you that your union’s Executive Committee has again had the opportunity to consider this matter and believe that the only way to stop management attacking your working conditions and bring this dispute to a suitable resolve is by taking strike action.

Therefore, your union’s Executive Committee has taken the decision to call on all our Clerical Officer 4&5 grade members employed in the Customer Relations Department at Leeds to take the following strike action:

Members are instructed not to book on for any turns of duty that commence between

•    00.01 and 23.59 hours on Monday 12th October 2015 and
•    00.01 and 23.59 hours on Monday 9th November 2015

Once again, congratulations to our members at Leeds for your show of strength and solidarity throughout this dispute.
