RMT Arriva Train Care strike action "solidly supported" this morning.
General Secretary Mick Cash said;
"Our members at Arriva Train Care are solidly supporting the strike action this morning, with pickets out in force, as we fight for a fair deal on pay.
"This is a wealthy company that can easily afford to make a decent pay offer that recognises the contribution our members make through their hard work day in and day out.
"Arriva can see the strength of feeling and determination for pay justice reflected in the action today. The company should be round the table with the union negotiating a settlement to this dispute. "
