RMT Press Office:
RMT in talks today to reverse P&O illegal sacking of crew.
General Secretary Mick Lynch said:
"RMT is meeting with DFDS, Stena and the DfT today to discuss the ongoing crisis from P&O's illegal dismissal of its crews.
"P&O need to immediately withdraw the false and arbitrary deadline for staff sign-up this Thursday 31st. The sacked workers have to be reinstated and we need regulation and legislation to secure UK-based seafarers' jobs and agreed contracts of employment."
