RMT joins other tube unions in demand for urgent top level meeting as coronavirus fears deepen

TUBE UNION RMT today joined with other LU unions in a call for urgent talks at top level as members raise fears across the job about a lack of leadership and a sense of inertia at both national and regional level that is leaving union members feeling abandoned and without proper support and guidance as the coronavirus spreads.

General Secretary Mick Cash said;

"There's a growing sense of anger amongst tube staff that they are being cut adrift in what is clearly a dangerous front-line environment in terms of the coronavirus spread.

"We cannot allow this situation to continue and we want an urgent top level summit to address this crisis of confidence. The union will take whatever action is required to protect the well-being and livelihoods of our members."
