RMT on reports that some City Link assets have been sold off

RMT General Secretary Mick Cash said:

“It is clear that a fire sale of the remaining assets of City Link is underway and it is outrageous that the union is being denied a meeting and proper consultation with the administrator when there is a chance to rescue jobs out of the wreckage left behind by the Christmas Day collapse of the company.

“RMT is fighting on for justice for the City Link workforce and we are calling again for direct talks with all of those pulling the strings, including Vince Cable and the Government, to see just what can be done for the thousands of workers still left facing personal ruin.”
