RMT General Secretary Mick Lynch said:

“Our ScotRail members are standing firm again today and it's about time the Scottish Government started facing up to their responsibilities. The politicians hold the reins of the ScotRail franchise, and only the Scottish Government can take the decisive action now required to resolve these disputes.

“All RMT ScotRail Ticket Examiner and Conductor members are seeking is equality with other grades. It is a kick in the teeth for these frontline essential workers that weeks into the disputes, which are absolutely rock soild again today, they have been abandoned by the political leadership in Scotland.

“Top level talks are now urgently required to resolve these disputes and RMT stands ready to engage anytime, any place, anywhere.”
