General Secretary Mick Cash said;"This morning has seen another spate of breakdowns and failures on our railways with the so called "deep alliance" between SW Trains and Network Rail once again proving to be a miserable failure. If this is a pilot for the future running of rail services then it's continued dire performance should be enough to see the whole model scrapped for good.
"Meanwhile staff at the front line are taking the brunt of the wrath from angry passengers while company chiefs and senior bosses are tucked up nice and warm in their plush offices. It's a disgrace and the blame lies with years of underinvestment, mismanagement and profiteering."
