RMT responds to Network Rail statements on 24 hour services

1 May 2018

RMT Press Office:

RMT General Secretary Mick Cash said:

“Introducing  24 hour services does not sit well with a government strategy of de-staffing trains and stations and removing the very workers who would be essential to safeguarding night time operations.

“There would be huge staffing and logistical challenges ‎required to make any such move happen and Network Rail should be engaging with the union before shooting from the hip in the media.

Ends.
