Following the tragic deaths of 57 people in the Greek railway disaster on 28th February, RMT general secretary Mick Lynch has today written to the Panhellenic Union of Railways (POS).
Mr Lynch writes: "On behalf of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT Union) I am writing to you to express our deepest condolences and solidarity with the Panhellenic Union of Railways (POS) and all Greek rail workers following the absolutely terrible train crash near the city of Larissa last week.
"Our thoughts are with the families, colleagues and friends of those who have lost their lives in this tragedy and our union offers our full support and solidarity in your fight for safe railways everywhere."
