Transport union, RMT strongly welcomes pledges to rapidly introduce legislation aimed at restoring workers' rights, repairing industrial relations, and ensuring wage growth.
General Secretary Mick Lynch said: "This is the most significant set of reforms in workers' rights that we've seen in decades and is a far cry away from the previous Tory government's attempts to suppress the aspirations of working people.
"By stamping out exploitative practices and giving workers proper rights from day one, this legislation will begin to repair the damage caused by years of neglect and hostile policies from the Tories.
“Taking action to stop future P&O Ferries type scandals is welcome as is the commitment to repeal anti-union laws and we look forward to developing sectoral collective bargaining with the government which is the best way for workers to win better pay and conditions.
"RMT alongside other unions will be working with the Labour Government to ensure this Bill delivers real, tangible benefits for all working people, ensuring the New Deal for workers is fully delivered."
