RMT Press Office:
RMT members at Rail Gourmet working on the TransPennine Express (TPE) contract have overwhelmingly voted to accept a 10% pay rise, securing a major victory in their fight for fair wages.
With 76% voting in favour, the deal includes:
-
A 10% pay increase for Customer Hosts, Customer Service Assistants, and Team Leaders, backdated to 1st November 2024.
-
No additional productivity conditions, ensuring the raise comes with no extra demands.
-
A set pay anniversary date of 1st April each year.
RMT General Secretary Mick Lynch welcomed the win and praised members for their steadfast determination to achieve such a significant deal.
He said: "This result proves that the power of collective action yields results.
"Our members stood firm and secured a well-earned 10% pay rise, no strings attached deal.
"RMT will always fight for fair pay and conditions across the industry at all grades."
