RMT Press Office:
Rail union, RMT has won a pay rise for Mass Transit Rail (MTR) workers on the Elizabeth line, following intensive negotiations.
The agreement, which covers the period from 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025, delivers a range of improvements for RMT members across the stations and revenue grades.
These include a one year above inflation pay award, a salary boost for low paid workers and a night shift allowance increase.
RMT general secretary Mick Lynch welcomed the agreement, adding: “This is a well-deserved victory for our members, achieved through strong negotiation.
"The above inflation pay increase not only addresses the rising cost of living but also acknowledges the vital role our members play in keeping the transport network running smoothly and passengers safe."

Notes: RMT won a 4.5% general pay rise and MTR is part of Crossrail, run by TfL.
