RMT Press Office:
RAIL UNION RMT said that Scotrail workers striking for pay justice and equality are holding firm again today as the company and their political masters line up a devastating wave of service cuts in the latest phase of their all-out war on passengers and staff alike.
General Secretary Mick Lynch said;
"Whilst RMT members are holding firm again today in their long-running fight for pay justice and equality the company and their political masters are lining up a fresh wave of cuts that would decimate services.
"It is crystal clear that those running the railways in Scotland have declared war on passengers and staff alike and none of these attacks should be seen in isolation.
"RMT remains available for talks in our disputes with Scotrail and its about time those calling the shots cleared the way for those talks to happen."
