Dear Colleague,

TRACK PATROLLING, CLESHAR STAFF – LONDON UNDERGROUND

Further to previous correspondence, members are congratulated for returning a solid ‘YES’ vote for both strike action and action short of a strike in the above dispute. This matter has now been considered by the National Executive Committee, which has instructed all affected members NOT TO BOOK ON FOR ANY SHIFTS that commence between:-

• 06:30 hours on Friday 12th February 2016 and 06:29 hours on Saturday 13th February 2016.

Furthermore, members are instructed to take action short of a strike by NOT TAKING PART IN ANY MENTORING OR ASSESSING ACTIVITY WITH CLESHAR’S T001 TRAINEES from 06:30 hours on Saturday 13th February 2016, until further notice.

This dispute is all due to London Underground’s inflammatory decision to train Cleshar’s staff to undertake track patrolling duties. This is a clear attempt to casualise your jobs and amounts to a direct attack on your job security. This strike action could have been avoided if the Company had approached us first to come to an agreement but instead, the Company ploughed ahead and this imposition must be strongly resisted.

STAND FIRM TOGETHER SUPPORT THE ACTION – SUPPORT YOUR UNION

I will keep you advised of all further developments.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash

General Secretary
