Dear Colleague,

Fatigue Within P&O

Fatigue is an ongoing danger across the maritime sector and we continue to challenge employers on their fatigue index systems and their management plans for dealing with such issues.

The matter has been placed infront of your National Executive committee and they have agreed the following decision:

“That we note the Fatigue Management plan on file put in place by the company inline with MSN 505. We note that this will be placed on the agenda for the fatigue study working group meeting on the 10th September.

We instruct the General Secretary to place a report back before this NEC once the meeting has taken place.

Maritime Branches to be advised”.

I am in the process of carrying out those decisions.
